Song choice board

Children point to the picture of the song they want to sing. It helps children who don’t speak yet, who use picture symbols or AAC, who are learning Spanish, or any group taking turns to choose.

How to use it

  1. Print it in landscape. If it will get a lot of use, laminate it or slip it into a plastic sleeve.
  2. Hold it at eye level and ask «¿Qué canción quieres cantar?» (“Which song do you want to sing?”). Wait patiently for them to point.
  3. Name the song they chose («¡Los pollitos dicen!») and sing it together.
  4. When it ends, use the bottom row: «otra vez» (again), «más» (more) or «terminamos» (all done).
  5. With very young children, cut out two or three songs and offer them side by side.
