Ideas and tips

For families and teachers

Ideas for singing together, what pediatricians recommend about screens, classroom resources and printing tips. Our songs and books are in Spanish.

Off-screen

Sing with your child

Songs do more when you sing them together. Five simple ideas:

  1. Face to face

Sing facing each other, slowly, so your child can see your mouth and your gestures.

  2. Pause

Before a word that repeats, stop and wait: let your child fill it in.

  3. Repeat

Singing the same song again and again is fine: little ones love knowing what comes next.

  4. Add actions

Point, clap, crouch down: every song on this site comes with its actions or its game.

  5. Without the video

Once they know it, sing it without a screen: in the car, in the bath, before bed.

Screens

Screens, with intention

What pediatricians recommend, plainly:

  • The World Health Organization: no screens before age 2; from 2 to 4, an hour a day at most, and less is better.
  • The American Academy of Pediatrics: if children watch videos, watch together and talk about them, and no screens in the hour before bed.
  • The Spanish Association of Pediatrics: avoid screens until age 6, except short video calls with family, for example to sing a song.

What this site does

  • The video loads only when you press “Play,” and it never starts on its own.
  • No ads, no accounts, and no data collected.
  • Every song comes with a way to play it without a screen.
  • The lullabies tell you how to sing them yourself, with the lights off.

In the classroom

For teachers

Everything is free to use at home or in the classroom: print as many copies as you need. The only thing not allowed is selling it or publishing it as your own.

Before you print

How to print

  1. US Letter or A4 paper

Use US Letter or A4 paper. Each book's page lists its paper size and orientation.

  2. Fit to page

If the edges get cut off, choose “Fit to page” in your print settings.

  3. Save ink

Print in black and white or in draft mode. Coloring pages don't need color.

  4. No printer?

Save the PDF on your phone and take it to a print or copy shop: they’ll print it in minutes.

  5. Light version

On mobile data, download each book’s light version: it’s much smaller and fine for coloring.
